Wastewater Biosolids Recycling: 916 dry tons treated annually and recycled onto agricultural land in accordance with regulations promulgated by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Annual Operating Expense: Annual Repair and Replacement Reserve: $3,078,260 (2009) $627,520 (2009)
User Charge Rate: Used to fund operation, maintenance & repair Single-Family Dwelling - $18.00 per month Commercial Accounts - $ 3.98/1,000 gallons
Wastewater Treatment Expansion Fee: Used to retire capital debt on Waste Water Treatment Plant Connection cost to single-family dwelling is $2,500 and is based upon a design flow of 200 gallons per day
Lake Quality Testing: Performed on each of the following lakes in June, July, August and September: Lake Henry, Winona, Agnes, Victoria, Geneva, Carlos, Darling, Cowdry, Brophy, Latoka, Andrew, Mary and Ida. Test results are submitted to the ALASD Board of Directors and the MPCA.
